Pimm's Cup

Do you have any English friends? I have discovered that they are good for three things:

1) A smart, witty sense of humor.

2) Keeping your ego in check with gentle reminders that they are smarter and wittier than you.

3) PIMM'S CUP!

Behind door #3 is an awesome, refreshing summer treat. Take a look at this beauty:

I styled it with my milk glass chicken to give it that English countryside vibe. Isn't it fancy?

Pimm's Cup recipe after the jump:

The thing I love about this good drink is, you make it from gin-based Pimm's No. 1 Cup (there are 3 on the market, used to be 6!), add a bunch of fruit, cucumber, soda and lemonade and it's a meal in a glass. Without tasting boozy. Also, you can make it in a big batch and...it's party time!

Here's the drink recipe:

1) Cut 1 apple, 1 bosc pear (it's firmer than anjou), about 12 large of strawberries, 1 cucumber and 2 lemons/limes into small bites. Place in a bowl with 15 oz of Pimm's No. 1 Cup and a handful of loosely chopped mint.

2) Cut 3 more lemons/limes and squeeze the juice into the bowl.

3) Add 1 cup seltzer or soda and 1 cup lemonade (I prefer Simply Lemon).

4) Stir, serve in tall glasses with ice with a sprig of mint on top.

5) Drink it with friends and marvel at how smart and witty you have become.
